Hooks Pet Clinic has been an established veterinary clinic at 296 Highway 431, Martin, Tennessee since 2000, beginning with Dr. Douglas Hooks. Mayfield Veterinary Clinic bought Hooks in 2015. Then in 2021, Dr. Haylee Brown who had been the veterinarian at Hooks bought the clinic. Hooks Pet Clinic has a reputation for having high standard care and practicing quality medicine. Since 2016, the increase in client visitations has almost doubled, showing the need for quality veterinary medicine in this region. In 2024, we have added a second veterinarian, Dr. Parker Albright. We, at Hooks, are continually striving to improve our care for the health and welfare of our patients and clients.
Martin, TN is located in Weakley County and is home to the University of Tennessee at Martin. With being a community that is dominated by its university population, educated professors and students have a choice to bring their companions to Hooks Pet Clinic. This clinic offers a full range of veterinary services to the Weakley and Obion County pet owners.
Haylee Brown, DVM, has 13 years of veterinary experience, eight years of which she has been the solo doctor at Hooks Pet Clinic. During this time, Dr. Brown has grown and maintained a devoted clientele that will continue to receive services at Hooks Pet Clinic with her.
It is the mission of Hooks Pet Clinic to provide up-to-date and efficient quality care to the companion animals of Weakley and Obion County.

Our Veterinary Mission
Our mission at Hooks Pet Clinic is to help customers’ pets live long, happy and healthy lives. We believe that a key element to a healthy pet is a great relationship with their veterinarian. Dr. Brown and her staff at Hooks Pet Clinic are committed to professional, caring, and personalized service, Hooks Pet Clinic is dedicated to maintaining the highest standard in veterinary medicine. We intend to offer and provide the following:
Preventative Care
Our clinic also provides the following preventative care services: wellness exams for all stages of life, vaccinations, microchipping, nutritional counseling, surgical and dental procedures, pain management, therapeutic laser therapy, pharmaceuticals, nail trimming, anal gland expression, and boarding.
Diagnostic Procedures
Our clinic provides the following diagnostic procedures: digital radiography, ultrasounds, in-house comprehensive blood testing, in-house heartworm and infectious parasite examinations, and cytology.
Standard Medical Services
Hooks Pet Clinic provides and offers its customers’ pets standard medical services such as medical examination, diagnosis, treatment and surgery to companion animals.
Other Services and Procedures
Hooks Pet Clinic also offers euthanasia and emergency services.
